A note from Coach Splinter: Sunday April 24, 2022: BYBA hosted a Byron Catcher’s Academy Clinic led by Coach Splinter and Varsity catcher Isaiah Petersen.  The 9 youth catchers ranged from 5th to 8th grades.  Although it was cool and extremely windy the catchers had great energy and learned a lot of fundamental catching techniques including receiving, blocking, throwing, and fielding.  This camp provided the necessary components that catchers need to build on through out the year.  Coach Splinter offers private catchers lessons and is willing to attend BYBA practices, when possible, to work with catchers at no charge; contact him with any questions or request his availability.
